I hired sun way van lines because he explained to me other companies have hiden cost and he does not. I have several emails with quotes. It is 4.25 per cubic foot. We discusted what the cost would be if we used less and he said the cost would be cheaper. So i went to a larger size to reserve just in case. I made the deal with him here in san antonio. My husband was just another person at the place in new hampshire and didnt know what was going on or what the charges were suppose to be. He was going thru enough with his sister passing away. Eric lucci is who i delt with. He said the stuff can arrive by wednesday. I told him. Your drivers need to rest dont they and he said there is a bed in the cab of the truck. I told him we have memorial sevices on dec. 5-7 in brownwood tx and we will be out of town. He said the stuff will arrive before then. When he got the truck loaded in new hampshire thats when everything went wrong. We did not get a call monday or tues. Like he said we would to let us know the stuff would be arriving wed. My husband drove and arrived monday and they stopped 2 nights in a hotel. They issisted the stuff would arrive on saturday or sunday dec 6th or 7th. We explained that would be inpossible we have memorial sevices saturday at 2pm. After a big arguement with them they agreed on sunday so we left brownwood at 6am to get here in time. We arrived early and they were already here. 1st they refused to use my credit card to pay the balance as we agreed be cause his secretary was out sick and didnt complete the transaction. They wouldnt take a check and i had to pay with money order. Then when they charged the wrong balance we were going back and forth about that. The trucker said they do not allow more than 800 cubic feet. He refused to sign a statement stating this. He says they have no way of knowing the space. We took pictures of the space it took. The orriginal contract was for 821 cubic feet./5700 lbs. 3300.00 that was with a 5% military discount. And without the 300.00 deposit to set up the reservation. He said that will be deducted on pickup. Then i noticed they took out 2000.00 on my credit card. So i thought ok cause the balance would be much less. Opon arrival the paper work said balance of 2029.00 this is a total 4300. They were charging us a lot more than greed apon. My husband showed me a paper that the extra packing was 485.00 - so the cost should have be 3300 485-300. Oo depost - the 2000.00 we already paid. Leaving a balance of 1485.00 not 2029.00 when i argued the cost of the 5% military discount he did knock off 229.00 leaving us a balance of 1800.00 so we had no choice but to pay it or loose the stuff. I do want the 315.00 back and i want these people reported to the buisness beauro.
