14 months as a client paying nearly $4,000.00 to Carlyle and Associates who promised me that I would be "placed in front of the decision makers" and bypass "the HR people". They pledged they had agreements with companies and industries that did not advertise in normal mediums such as newspaper and on the internet.
14 months later: no interviews, no leads, jobs thrown in front of me not matching my skill sets and done so hoping "something will stick". Major turnover in "career advisors" and they indicated to many of us that they only take on a set number of clientele in order to give us individual attention. They continue to advertise and solicit.
Requests for refunds are ignored. We've received for our money: a practice interview, a book on negotiating our salary, a resume preparation (and poorly done at that), office visits and a seminar touting why their service is the best (not how to maximize our job search).
14 months after detailing my "blue sky job" and completing mounds of paperwork, questionaires, and tests to narrow down my skill sets and personalities, not one thing has happened that Carlyle and Associates has promised.
A group of clients and I are pursuing legal action, Better Business Bureau filings, investigative television, small claims court action and other ideas aimed at forcing Carlyle and Associates to refund our money or we will take them down.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. This is not just one person who is unhappy. There are MANY of us. Read the rest of these reports and see the consistent wording. This is a true rip off in every sense of the word. You can do better for yourself with a good book at the library and a little elbow grease.
Please do not waste your money. Do not take out a loan. Do not borrow from your parents or children.
