In June, 1999, I purchased 2 Phone card machines from Americard Dispersing Corp., with $1,000 worth of cards for sale in these machines for $10,000 shipped to my address prepaid, this was supposed to be a turnkey business.
I found locations for these 2 machines in a chain of convenience markets, the owner liked them, stated he would like them in each of his markets, I purchased a total of 7 machines, the government later changed the U.S. Bills, and they would no longer work in the machines, I contacted the Co. And was informed it would cost me $100.00 each to have the electronics reworked to receive these new bills, I had not shown a profit to be able to make these changes, I had to pull the machines.
I called the Company about all the cards I had left for a refund, I was informed they would renew the expiration dates but could nt refond my money, the machines would no longer accept the new bills, so I had to lick my wounds and try to absorb my losses, which are in Thousands of Dollars, at that time I knew nothing of this ripoff site.
I find they are operating under a new name, and still doing their thing. I found this information also on this site. Beware!
