Timeshare Registry International
Not an easy target, but burned again anyway! Buyer Beware!

In an urgent attempt to rent our timeshare unit since we were unable to use it, we contacted this company after receiving a telemarketing call. The salesperson's name was Shelly Reynolds and we asked a ton of questions to be sure it wasn't a scam. Shelly was great about returning our calls and answering questions. We paid $499, which as it was explained to us was a lifetime membership and any year we couldn't use the timeshare, we could list it for rent. We were assured that they speak to thousands of people looking to rent and it would go quickly, most likely in 90 days. That was March.in April, I looked at their website and saw that the ad for our unit was incorrect so I went to call Shelly. Come to find out she no longer worked for the company.

In May, I got in touch with a supervisor named Rudy, who assured me that everything was fine and that May was when people really started making vacation plans so for me to just hang in there.

By July, when I checked again it was too late to do a credit card dispute. To date, I have received not one phone call regarding the rental of my unit, and to top that off, I learned from RCI Points today that it was actually illegal for me to attempt to rent my unit, since it wasn't a banked unit at the time and I could lose my membership altogether for doing it if RCI found out.

I have attempted to get a refund from Timeshare Registry International since they have not rented my timeshare. Even though I was told that I purchased a lifetime rental listing, my contract states, in very strangley worded terms something about expiring in 3 months. They claim they make no gaurantees and my money is non-refundable.

Now I see that they are listed on usacomplaints.com among other things. People beware. If you go to their website and see the number of people who have paid to be there advertising their timeshare units for sale or rent, you can see the amount of money that this scam has brought in. There needs to be recourse for people who think they ask all of the right questions and get burned anyway.

Thank you.

Burned in Colorado!
