My wife was called this morning by Cambridge who's who. Immediately after hanging up with them she called me and told me she felt like she had just been scammed for $200.00. She felt guilty having given in to all the ego stroking, flattery, and "recognition" for her accomplishments. She admitted to having been duped by the kind words. But, she also knew that she had done something wrong... Gave them $200.00 over the phone.
After she got done with Cambridge, then she searched on line and realized she had been scammed. How embarassed she felt. I told her to not beat herself up about this, but simply go to the bank and explain to them what just happened. She will be going to our bank immediately to cancel the transaction to get our money back.
