Billing our credit card and we've never heard of this company before Riverview Florida

I believe the following is what's going on:

I had signed up for several online companies in order to receive title fee requests for my company. FreeTitleQuote.com was one of them. I made several attempts to cancel the account without a response. Finally I was able to call up the rules I agreed to when I signed up and saw that there was some rule where you had to stay a member for a year and provide 30 days notice of when you wanted to cancel. So, I provided the notice and it should have canceled effective April 1. Not only did I email it, I also sent it regular mail. Whenever the ($149.95) charge would show up on our statement, there would be an 800 number and when I would call it I would get a recording that said "if you would like to use this number for" (as if it's a number not yet assigned to a company). Then, all of a sudden we started receiving a charge for the exact same amount but to a company called "Inaetitlequote.com" and the statement listed the same 800 number that we would call and get the same recording as before. We reported FreeTitleQuote.com to the BBB and shortly after the name changed on our statement. Our credit card company has credited back the money for April, May and June and we just disputed the charge for July. They said they will keep the credit posted while they investigate the charges.

In the meantime, I received a "quote" request from FreeTitleQuote.com signed by Josh Cahill and I replied to that quote telling him I have tried numerous times to cancel the service and should not be getting new orders. At that time he said he wanted to offer me 3 months of free quotes and continued to send me new ones. I never accepted his offer of 3 free months and then along came another charge on our card. I emailed him about this charge and asked why we are being charged by a different company name. He said he isn't associated with Inaetitlequote.com. I also asked him what his fees are and he said they are $35 a month for local quotes (of course he wasn't going to say $149.95 a month). So, he is denying having any association with this new company that is charging the same amount that FreeTitleQuote.com was charging previously and listing the same 800 number on the statement.

I have been provided the following information about Josh Cahill:

Freetitlequote.com is run by a 22-year old named Josh Cahill. He owned Channelside Title in Riverview FL and he is also a recently licensed realtor. He started out as being a customer of another online quote company until he convinced that company's web designer to sell him a carbon copy of their website. Josh Cahill just recently started another website as well called floridatitleinsurancequote.com. Here's the phone # listed on Freetitlequote.com's website 1-877-780-8384. He must have gotten in some kind of trouble for this website for him to have started the new website and not be advertising freetitlequote.com anymore. Here's the email listed on their info page: [email protected]. I also happen to still have his personal cell # from when he was a customer of ours. It is 813-477-8972.

An email address for him of [email protected]. Of course that will go to his title company, not to his "freetitlequote.com" address.

A number of others have not received any response when asking for their refunds from him. Josh Cahill already has a complaint filed on usacomplaints.com against his title company (Channelside Title LLC).

That's all I have at this time.
