Frontline Consumer Research Group
This company offered paid training and a salary as a mystery shopper in my area

I recieved a letter to inform me that based on previous survey by their affilate consumer survey specialist that i had indicated to be interested in an additional income on part-time basis. They said that i was selected to participate in a paid consumer research program in my area of residence as a Mystery Shopper. As one of the research personnel selected under this program, i would be a consumer service evaluator of selected retail stores, restaurants and various establishments, making predetermined purchases and evaluating the consumer service level of the stores and services providers.

The letter said the research program is a fully paid program and would become a permanent part-time position for a seledcted few who are able to distinguish themselves in the course of the program. After the training assignment, my salary will be increased to $600.00 per week for the first three months. Additional increment of $750.00 per week will follow after another three months if I choose to stay with the company.

The letter also stated the upon acceptance of the offer I would be requested to complete a paid training assignment wihin one (1) week. This self-tranning assignment is designed to equip me with the tools i will need to carry out the assignment. The assignments was to be completed in two different locations. The first evaluation would take place in local stores in my area. On the first assignment, i would pose as a potential customer shopping and spending $200.00 at one of the local stores listed in the letter. The second evaluation would also take place at a local store. The second evaluation would evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of payment systems by sending money via a finacial institution.

The letter broke down the ammount of the emclosed check:
1.3 hours probationary training pay @ the rate of $100.00 per hour $300.00
2. Funds for shopping $200.00
3. Service charge for sending a moneygram 175.00
4. Required funds to be sent $3,300.00 Total $3,975.00

The letter said that the offer would expire. They said for their verification of assignment competion, to contact my assignment coordinator at the telephone number listed to confirm the receipt of the check. It also had a fax number and asked me to fax all copies of my shopping receipts, acceptance forms and evaluation sheets to the fax number. The letter also said that the training assignment is probationary and takes 3 hours to complete at the rate of $100.00 per hour. Also my success would determine my future employment with the company. The letter was signed by the Human resources manger.

The letter and Job just sounded too good to be true. But needing a job I called the assignment cordinator to ask a few questions. The letter gave my coordinator name so I ask for her name first and she was the person in the letter but when she answered my call it was with a "hello" and not with the name of the company. So I asked her what company did she work for and she put me on hold, when she got back online she did have the correct name but was not interesed her Representative ID numer that was listed in the letter. I told her that the job just sounded to good to be true and her response was "Well, what seems to be too good to be true?", and I said the money.

I ask her how was i selected for this job she said that i had applied for it online. I informed her that i did not recall filling out any applications for a mystery shopper. She was nice and kept the ball rolling and asked me if i had received the check and I told her yes and she said the next step was to deposit the check and call her back. I told her that i would like to talk to someone else, she wanted to know why and I told her that like i said it just sounds to good to be true. She said the she was my assignment coordinator and that she would handle any thing i needed. I ask her to let me have the web address of this company. She put me on hold again, and wen she came back she said that it would be down for at least 72 hours. Then i asked her to please give me a telephone numer for the human resources manger. She said that if i needed any thing she would handle it. I told her i would think about the offer and get back in touch with her before the dead line.

Besides the letter and check there was also a company evaluation sheet and a acceptance form.

Well I have not called back and i am not going to, after looking on the internet i found out that this is a scam.
