For those of you who dont have time to read this. To make a long story short. I sent Camille of pacificpurr cattery 1500.00 for a rare kitten Dec. 2006 it is now May and I only recieved 160.00 as a refund...
Regardless of what Camille thinks of me she still owes me 1340.00 She has had plenty of time to pay this debt.
I found Pacificpurr cattery on the internet and Yes, I was very sceptical about purchasing over the internet but through looking at her website it showed that Camille was active with Cfa and on the 2001 cover of Cats USA I talked with her on the phone and she seemed very nice and trusting, on DEC. 15 2006 we agreed on a price 1500.00 with breeding rights, that price was also to include the shipping costs for a very rare color called a seal point with white Himalayan, that I had been searching for for almost a year. The kitten was only 5weeks old and she had said it would be around Feb. 10 before she could ship the kitten and that she would be sending me updated photos and proof that the kittens parents were tested PKD Felv/fiv. I waited and waited never recieving anything. I called left messages as a reminder still nothing.
After numerous times calling and hearing nothing. I remembered she had said she was in process of moving. I started to panic thinking she took the money I gave her. After calling her numerous times. I phoned her around midnight one evening hoping maybe she wasn't answering my calls because she was working different hours than normal people work and that was possibly why she wasn't available to talk. I had left a frantic message wondering why I havent heard from her. Anyway she finally replied saying that I was crazy and that she wouldn't dare sell to me, and that I was to expect a refund. Well that was Feb. 15th. (5 days after I was suppose to pick up the kitten from the airport..)
needless to say. I recieved nothing...
Because I had heard nothing regarding all the emails and phone calls, and recieved nothing I decided to call the FBI who said there was nothing he could do because 1500.00 is not enough money for him to get envolved but that he would be happy to talk to her to remind her that she was committing fraud. Well, I did recieve a call from Camille the day after she had spoken to the FBI, Camille said she would send me a replacement kitten, this kitten she offered me was a normal peek faced show quality sealpoint Himalayan with the breeding rights. But I would not recieve a refund. I told her I didnt feel this kitten was worth 1500.00 and reminded her I had paid for a rare seal point and white Himalayan, she said she sold it. So what was left to do. I told her I would except her offer and when would I be recieving the kitten. Agian. I recieved no papers indicating tests done which she said I would recieve, to insure a good healthy breeder. So I called her asking where this information was and that I would rather recieve a refund, and again she changed her mind. She said that she doesn't give refunds but she would make an exception for me in my case, and that I would be recieving a full refund. Well, I recieved a check for 60.00 May 15 then for many months later I would send emails asking her to please pay what she owes.
Finally I recieved another money order for 100.00 October 17th.. It is now May 1st 2008 I have recieved nothing more from Camille Waterman with catteryrow.com/pacificpurr / I see that she has a mobile grooming service in Houston Texas and that she is breeding dogs. Please beware of this breeder. It is my expierience that she is not trustworthy. I had to learn that the hard way. I continue to email Camille to remind her of her outstanding debt... I am writing this in hopes to prevent others from making the same mistake I have made, I feel that regardless of what Camille thinks of me that she still owes me 1340.00.
