Hello to all staten islanders,
just wanted to let you know the
Seaver french cleaners at 1919 hylan blvd,
Are the biggest crooks out there on the island...
I had brought a jacket to get takin in, after discussing how i pay 30 dollars at my current dry cleaners, i thought might be a little pricey, after being refere d to seaver and charlie by my girlfreind who lives on staten island, charlie the tailor, told me, he would do these jackets for $ 25 instead of $ 30,
I went to charlie with 1 jacket, he did the measurements, he the n told me, it would be $ 35 since he had to take more time... This was 5 more then my current, but since it was a referal of my g f, i figured just to let this, charlie the crook, do the alterations...
A week later, my girlfriend went to get ths jacket, charlie said that it came out to $ 63, after telling me it was $ 35, the thing is with this char lie, he knew what he was doing, and insisted i didnt need a ticket, since he knows my g f, so we ll, and shes been a regular for many years, he would not give her the jacket for $ 35...
I called t his charlie, only to find out, how bad a bussiness man he was, and still is, and said it doesnt matter what he told me in the past, just i need to pay $ 63 if i eve r want to see my jacket again...
I think if all there customer s checked there re ceipts fr om this place, you will notice how outragiously overpriced this place is...
I will be writing t o consdumer affairs and the be ter bussiness bureau...
