Each month I pay my Sam's Club bill in full through my "bill pay" account at my bank so I was surprised to see late fees on my account in December and January.
A check of the Sam's Club web site showed my payments arriving on time (sent electronically by the bank) but not posted until two days later. I was assured that this would be corrected and all fees canceled.
It took a second phone call and a strong complaint via email to get all the fees removed. I have been sending my payments three day ahead of the due date but plan to change that at my next billing to test the "new" system.
This report is not a put down on Sam's Club but for information. Any time you feel you have unfair fees on your credit cards CALL the company and politely protest.
The Sam's Club people did state that they were in the process of changing to a new credit system and apologized!
