Dear Mr. Scarpino:
I am writing to you to reiterate my relinquishing your duties as my attorney. Prior to this letter, I spoke with you and your secretary on Wednesday, September 5, stating I fired you as my attorney. The reasons being your unprofessional care for my case, such as scheduling appointments and last minute cancellations with poor excuses, unprofessional mannerisms on the phone and at the few kept appointments, sloppy notes, unorganized with my case, unwilling to listen to my concerns, unable to retrieve important documents in a timely fashion, and not making progress in my case after payment was received in full on November 10.
I am demanding a full refund of $5,000 since you have not fulfilled your duties as you had promised me when I hired you. I had paid you top dollar for your excellent services and have yet to see them. I have loss wages from cancellations, as well as others who had driven me to the appointments, had to go out to Geneseo, Illinois to get my own records when you supposedly requested them and could not receive them. The worse thing of all of this is my loss of time that I can never get back.
If you do not respond or return my money within ten days of this letter, I will take the matters further by contacting the Illinois Bar Association, the Better Business Bureau and take you to small claims court.
