Crown Valley Animal Hospital - Crown Valley Animal Care - Dr Scott Ivers - JE Rich Company
Overcharged me, ruined my credit to help me save a dog (lied to me that she did not have cancer) they knew was in 4th stage of cancer ripoff

I had a wonderful female dog I had taken to a local Vet, they took a biopsy and reported to me she had cancer. My friend suggested I take her for a second opinion. I then took her to Crown Valley Animal Hospital. The Dr. (Ivers) physically examined my dog with his latest, greatest equip.

Dr. Ivers advised "she did not have cancer" I had the other Dr. Send over biopsy report, which I had never seen, nor did I see it that day. I felt at the time he was looking into to my eyes to see how much I loved my dog (how much I would pay) he charged $4750.00, I thought it was a huge amount, but I loved my trusty animal who saw me thorugh much illness myself. I thought I owed it to her. I If I could have her live and be healthy it was worth it.

I left her 3 days. I went to visit her 3 times, she was out, I figured with medicine. On the 2nd day of her visit the Dr. Called and advised me something had gone through her stomach wall, he was going to mop it up, she should be fine. I went to pick her up at approx 8:30 PM with G. Kids, she was so perky, all excited, look as though she felt fine. The assistant lifted her (100'#) into the back of SUV, I went to desk to check out. The desk assistant gave me a bill for $4300.00, I smiled and said "oh Thank you" she said "your happy" I said "yes, when I came in it was $4750, I thought she needed less treatment, this is $450.00 cheaper". She then advised me that was additional. I said I would call back and speak with Dr.

I left numberous messages for the Dr. He didn't return those calls.

2 weeks later my dog started with the same symtoms as before, blotted stomach, loose stools, vomitting, no energy. I took her to another Vet in Santa Ana, Ca. He took 1 look at her (she looked the same way she did when Dr. Ivers saw her) advised me she was in the 4th stage of cancer, he said she would be gone within a month. He said "one day she just won't be able to get up"

I put my life on hold as I wanted to be with her. Dr. Ivers had me totally go against any and all beliefs I have. He had me take heroics measures without my knowledge, or allowing me to make an intelligent choice. My dog lived 27 days longer. After she was gone I called the 1st Dr. And found out the report spelled out very well, she did have cancer. There never was any hope, she never needed any hospital, never needed any unesccesary treatment, never needed to leave her home or family.

I have since called Consumer Affiars, Dr. Ivers has 2 other complaints for Negligence. It is hard to have Consumer Affairs find you guilty, they of course slapped his hand, $500.00 fine. I fell certain there are plenty of people out there likeme who have seen this Hospital and Dr. And just didn't know where to go to get information.

Not that this all isn't bad enough, Dr. Ivers put me into collection, He and I did speak and he advised he would remove the later fees of $3400.00, remove completely from my credit, (which had been $4300) after I advised him I KNEW WHAT HE DID TO MY DOG, Ivers was shocked I knew about his 2 other offenses, Our conversation was on a Sunday, I was getting a new loan and had to close, I advised him of this matter also. He never removed the fees. HE WON"T TAKE CALLS..

This is not only a rip off of money but of the heart, In my opinion he has commited the most criminal offense, using his job for money, while pet's and their owners are taken in. Yes, this will wind up in a court of law and at The Department Consumer Affairs, hopefully they will respect 3 offenses and take his license.
