I answered an ad for extras for movies, tv etc. I met with a person who described all the work I will get as an extra. Before I get the work I had to pay them to take a polaroid photo of me for the file. Then I was told that I needed head shots which cost about 600.00. I asked if I could still work with Universal if I brought my own headshot to them, the man named Jim said no, I will not get work unless I do photos only with them. I accepted and paid my 600.00 and had headshots done in about 15 minutes next door at some photo studio. It was horrible, all of the 36 shots were terrible, I was not allowed to retake any of them and I had to choose from the photos I had taken of me. Since they were terrible shots I was also charged additional for airbrushing.
They do call you for work but it is only extra non-speaking work and you really don't need expensive headshots for that. The photographer is horrible and they force you into paying before you ever see your shots. You do not need to buy expensive pictures to be an extra. Please save your money and don't make the mistake I made.
