This little husband/wife real estate duo scammed my husband and I out of over $2000. We listed our home with them about a year ago and the De Angelo's agreed to line up contractors to do minor, cosmetic repairs.
I sent them a check for $2150 which was deposited by De Angelo Real Estate Group but the repairs were not done. I was blatenly lied to each time I questioned the status of the repairs.
Ms.De Angelo could not provide an accounting as to how the money was spent.in one conversation, she advised she still had over $1000 remaining in her trust account. When I demanded a refund of $1000, her husband said she couldn't come up with the money.
Johnny De Angelo presented himself as a licensed realtor. Come to find out, he's just a pizza chef riding on the coat tails of a prominent, successful family, with the same last name.
Suit has been filed but they are refusing service. At this point, my only recourse is to see that Ms.De Angelo's license is revoked and she is sanctioned from ever working in the real estate business again.
Until that time, don't do business with them. There are too many reputable realtors in Baton Rouge than to waste any time with these two con-artists.
