Breeder/Seller used internet to advertise the sale of a TINY "Teacup" Yorkie (the small premium sze of the breed) for $1000. The photo included was a tine puppy closely held in the palm of a hand.
In phone conversations with the seller, she assured me the puppy was 10oz. And 11 weeks old. I thought I did my research, but learned later on usacomplaints.com she has a history.
Anyway, when the dog was shipped Continental Airline Cargo, it arrived as a totally different dog - - looks and size. I took it to my vet the next day and had it weighed - - 2lbs. 5oz. (4 times the size I was repeatedly interested in). I'm 1000% convinced she never even had the dog in the picture.
There are Pet Lemon Laws in the State of Florida - - but she seems to keep dodging the laws and ripping off consumers.
