I do drop shipping and came across Simplx.com. I entered their site and had additional questions before paying their $19.95 application fee, I e-mailed them twice through their "contact us" page. I never received a response.
Stupid me, I went ahead and paid the $19.95 thinking I would obtain immediate access to their site and have my questions answered. I did not receive immediate access, but only to receive a message that my application has been submitted and that I would be contacted by a representative shortly.
I instantly e-mailed them back requesting to cancel my application, stating that I assumed that I could get my questions answered by having immediate access. Again, no response, but I did receive the call 2 days later, that they said that I would get.
I told the person on the phone to cancel my app and explained why, but he continued his sales pitch.
He went on to explained their unique services and I stated that I am already doing what Simplx offers & that these services are not unique.
I asked how much it would cost to use their services and he tells me anywhere from $18,000.00 (yes, thousand) to $4000.00 a monthly fee. He asked how I felt about the pricing and I told him that it was outrageous! I'm selling products for you and making you money and you want to charge me?
I told him that I am currently with a very reliable drop shipper and they have quality products and their services are excellent, they even answer my e-mail the very same day. I don't pay them a single penny.
The Rep. That called me told me that the $19.95 that I paid was to receive his phone call.
I read through all the postings on this site and agree 100% with all of them except Linda's rebuttals.
To contradict Linda:
(Linda) We would rather not charge an application fee. If all those who apply have the true desire and entrepreneurial spirit we are interested in serving, every one of them would be qualified. However, not everyone does qualify, so in order to find those who are more than information seekers, we require all the applicants to review the terms and conditions, fill out an application and remit the application fee, in effort to disqualify information seekers before deciding that our program is not for them.
(ME) But Linda you never answered my e-mails to find out if this program is for me or not!!!
(Linda) One might ask why a university or a college requires an application or registration fee, only to determine that more than 75% of those applicants will not be accepted into the school. The reason being, it takes time and effort to investigate, review and determine whether or not the applicant is qualified for the institution.
(Me) I work w / many Drop Shippers and they don't have any application fee. And if I remember correctly, the last employment application that I filled out in which I didn't get the job, I was not charged! And that was a dumb example that you gave. Colleges don't scam you!
(Linda) Also, we receive approximately 250 applications each day, of which only a fraction pay the application fee. Those who do not pay the application fee are not considered.
(Me) 250 x $19.95 = $4987.50 per day x 7 days per week $34912.50???
(Linda) Regarding your request to see a list of customers who have received a refund, we have not even had ten requests for refunds.
(Me) Ummmmmm, I requested one & didn't get a response.
Someone needs to stop this company. They are making a lot of money & not providing any services for the money!!! They are a scam!!! And yes, Linda your company is scamming. You are not up front at the beginning during the application process. If you were, you wouldn't even be on this web site!
