After reading the ad for the World's Greatest Growing Machine, we were excited to part with our money for what we were led to believe was a great aeroponic unit. The machine (which is really a pvc tube with holes drilled along the top) is advertised as a hybrid system that is fully customizable to aeroponic, NFT, or drip configurations.
In reality, the system can only be operated as a drip system. This system IS NOT aeroponic (which equals near magical growth rates in plants).
We contacted North American Hydroponics after receiveing the unit and asked how this could be configured for aeroponic operation. We were told that an aeroponic conversion kit would be sent to us. The promised kit never arrived.
After 2 months of waiting, calling, and emailing without a response, we finally got "Ron" on the phone. When we explained that the system kit never arrived, Ron was kind enough to explain that the aeroponic cofiguration kit was being developed. When I queried as to why it was being advertised as an aeroponic system, Ron became extremely abusive and hung up on me.
Bottom line: This company is run by total scumbags, and the system does not operate as advertised.
We are filing suit in small claims court to remedy the situation, however we want everyone to stay away from this company. They are very bad news.
NA Hydroponics also promises lighting and nutrients at cost. We were able to get better pricing paying retail for the exact same light system that they claim to sell at cost.
