Beware... We heard on the radio that JRP was interviewing for Zac and Cody on Disney and that only 200 kids would be picked. I called in to the radio. I was told I was picked and given a number to call.
I called the number they gave me. I was given a place and time to do the interview.
I showed up with lots of other parrents and their kids. We were all put in a room.
We were given a speech about how they found famous people like Lee Majors, Danny Diveto, Rosanne Barr etc. Which by the way nothing was mentioned about being called for the show Zac and Cody on Disney.
We went for a interview. If thats what u want to call it. The lady said right off. OMG this is the child I was looking for. She is beautiful She is so cute. She is amazing we want her. (she is 4yrs old).
Then the next day we called to see if she got a call back. They told us she was their #1 pick. And she needed to go back to see how she did on memorization. And if she made it she would have a choice of working with Disney or Nick channel.
We went back that day. All they did was have her say repeat a few things. Then came the speech about $. They wanted 5,900. And right now. Not let me think about it. If u did not do it right them u would loose your slot. Then nothing else was mentioned about Disney Channel etc.
Also, The first phone conversation said they were going to have producers from L.A. At the interview. That was bull too.
She said she would have a audditon every Sat before class. When u called on Wed they would tell u who was going to be doing the Auddition. They also said she would have at least one job withing 6 months.
We then took it another step. They told us thier was one other child waiting that was 5. And they parrents were pushing her to do this and they did not want her. So they had to go "break her heart".
We waiting outside for the other child. We talked to them. They were given the same line as us. We were pushing our child and their child was picked. But... They did not want to pay so it was giving to us. When they told them they did not have the money they said they felt like they were pushed out the door.
They really have it down. Even word for word. They also, had a stack of cancelations hiden under their desk. Which our child picked up and gave to them. (humm why under the desk?)
They also had us in a office that looked like it was not a perm office. Like a fly by nite operation. No pictures on the walls and broken down furniture. With all that money u would think they would have something nice in there. At least try to impress you. They r getting alot of $ out of us.
They never offered to show us the facilties. Just that is was up stairs. And they wanted us to leave the child for her classes. Like I am going to leave her with total strangers.
After reading this site and having long disscussion with family we cancled the check and the contract.
We drove 2hrs to get there and it was a total waste of our time.
They like to prey on children and get thier hopes up. Imagine what that does to a child when they find out it is a total scam. How dare they do that to these kids. Esp the onest that give there time and work hard for nothing. It is all about putting $ in their pocket.
