We hired the company to provide remodeling services and oversee the project. They were to manage the project from start to finish, including weekly site visits, etc. They failed to perform at least 3 of the 5 mentioned duties as project managers of our remodeling which is a breach of contract. They stated the project would take 6 weeks to complete.
It has now been 6 months and it is still not complete. They have over charged us by almost 33% MORE than what their estimate was, due to FORGETTING key areas in the estimate including the shower, masonry, bathroom fixtures and framing (this remodeling was for a bedroom and full bath in a basement). Therefore, because they forgot these features, they are charging us for them.in addition, they underestimated the total of the project by over $10,000 dollars and are expecting us to pay those additional costs.
They have fired several people that were responsible for our accounts, took money from us but did not buy the materials, and lied continually on what they have ordered but no materials are ever delivered. We have emails that have gone unanswered and promises that their company has made and not followed through. (i.E. They agreed to a cost for a shower, then fired the person who agreed to the cost and now requires us to pay the full amount... in addition, they promise to replace carpets they damaged, then say they will not do so).
We tried to solve the issue and meet them more than half way by paying $7000 towards the $12446 they are demanding but they won't agree and have now put a stop work order in place. Our bedroom and bath are still not complete. They have money they took for materials from us and never delivered the materials.
They continue to bring new people and put them on our account, only to have them promise and commit to things, take more money from us, promise dates, only to get fired and have us owe more after they leave.
