I noticed in my bank statement that there was a strange check number. I contacted my bank and found that 1rate.com has been illegally taking money out of my account and has been for 4 months now. The wild part is that I haven't had a home phone in almost 3 months. So I have been paying for long distance service without a telephone.
I don't know how they got my bank account # but they did and have taken $269.70 without my knowledge or approval. They are crooks that need to be stopped. I never got a statement. Never got a bill. They just went straight to my bank account. Watch yours or you could be next!!! I have contaced other rip off websites, the FDIC, the FCC, my Congressman and my bank. We will see what happens from here.
