Ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing

I know this is long but it will amaze you...

I am totally amazed that anyone could stay in business as long as Dish Network has. My story begins with wanting to have more channels to watch. I am at Radio Shack one day and they told me about Dishnetwork and I signed up to have Dish Network to come out to my house to install. A young guy shows up late around 4pm, he asked what rooms and how many TV's. I showed him the rooms and he then informed me it would cost me an extra receiver if I wanted to set up 5 rooms and 5 tv's. After long discussion I agreed. He took one look at the cable connections that the contractors had installed and said those would not work. He then said he would have to run new line and go into the attic, lower cables, drill holes into the walls and then install connections. It took him until past midnight to do so but in the meantime I had to help him and also go to Walmart and buy the cable covers to cover the holes in my brand new walls, he didn't have enough.

I had Dishnetwork for a little over two years. It went out often if a large cloud went over. Then I get relocated through my company and I called Dishnetwork to be disconnected. The lady on the phone asked if I would use Dishnetwork at my new home I so stupidly said maybe. She said well I will put you down for the movers program (whatever they called it), however I was never told it would cost me monthly until I set up with them again. Well after finding a new home in my new location I decided after not having many choices I would call Dishnetwork back to set up again in my new home. I got a really good sells rep on the phone. I told her I wanted to reconnect at my new location, but wanted to know for sure if they could install the dish on the roof at my new location first. She said sure we can do that. She set up a time for someone to come out and install. I told her that I had the old receivers because when I called to disconnect at my old location they told me to take them with me and I did. When I told her that, she said don't worry about it that they would bring new ones.

The guy shows up and the first thing out of his mouth was that he could not install the dish on the roof, even though the lady told us on the phone that they would. My husband was upset. Then, he informed my husband that he would have to drill holes on the exterior of my house into every room we wanted TV's set up and run wire around the exterior of my house into the interior of my house. We immediately refused to do that. We wanted it to come from the attic like the last installation. They said we don't do that either. I called to have service cancelled right then. I asked the guy what do I do with the old receivers and he told me the same thing, they don't need them. After cancelling service I never expected to be charged for another year.

Yes, I looked at my bank statements for the first time, because my husband always handles that business and was astonished to find that they were continuing to charge me.

I called tonight and they regretted to inform me that since I was just now looking at my bank statement after one year that they could not give me a credit back to my bank account, because I failed to cancel with them. I only canceled twice!!! DUh.

Then he informed me that I needed to return the old receivers, I told him that I was told by Dishnetwork that I would be charged another 400.00 for the receivers they told me to throw away! Go Figure, how does anyone stay in business that does business this way!!
