Received a fraudulent charge on my local phone bill. Is only $5.25 plus tax, so that's the beauty of it for the scammer. Most people won't bother to fight it and will pay it without much thought. The call came from a phone number that does not exist. Verizon and Nationwide both agreed to credit the charges with no argument whatsoever!
I find that suspect. They must be so used to calls about this type of thing that they don't even bother to get information or argue about it. Nationwide is an illegitimate company as far as I'm concerned. I've filed a complaint with the FCC as well.
