I know this sounds like my fault, but hear me out. We got an SBC package deal, unlimited calls for about $50.00, along with SBC DSL. I know I should have known, but I ended up making a international call to a friend in Spain.
We had connected on Instant Messaging and immediately decided to talk on the phone. As soon as I got the number I dialed it without any thought to what I was doing. We talked for an hour.
My question is, is it entirely my fault that I was able to complete this call? Shouldn't there be some notification that some company called 'National Connections' was charging me $2.41/min. For this call?
I would guess I'm not the first to make this mistake. I also assume that a majority of customers who don't have cell phones are often those who can't afford the extra expense, like me. I don't believe anyone should have to pay $214.65 to talk on the phone for an hour, to Spain or anywhere else.
