This past November I was contacted by one Gino Marconi of Career Moves in Princeton NJ. I traveled a great distance to meet with a very expressive salesmen. I was informed by Gino that I was going to receive a career analysis and that they would be able to help me get a new position with an increase from my last salary. I was prompted to ask about cost since it sounded too good to be true.
Before I could complete my question, Mr. Marconi answered it stating that this was free and that all cost would be due after I get placed. I still was unsure so I asked him to explain the process once again. He did, and as the first time he stated that after I am placed it would come from my signing bonus and that was payable 30 days after I have accepted my new position.
Well I must say I thought I was a smart Person, but I was taken by Mr. Marconi and his what seemed at the time conviction. To walk into what is a rental office space with what the receptionist told me was shared by over 40 companies to meet with someone trying to sell me a whopping 5 thousand dollar resume. I was so angry. I tried calling Mr. Marconi but my many calls went unanswered. If you receive a call from this man I suggest you say thanks but NO THANKS.
I have since found this site which has opened my eyes to what seems to be an industry of people preying on unemployed people like myself. I hope this information helps anyone planning on visiting this company to go in with eyes wide opened to the fact that this will be costly. How costly is entirely up to you, it can cost your time or many thousands of dollars.
