In December of I went to Function Junction, a shipping and mail service. I sent a stereo via UPS using Function Junction. The stereo was never opened and packaged in the manufactures packaging. I insured the package for $300.
The package arrived damaged and was photographed. I went to Function Junction and tried to file a claim. Apparently, because I used Function Junction to send the package, I cannot deal with UPS directly.
Bipan Shah, who is the owner of Function Junction has continuously given me the runaround and failed to deliver on any of his words. I have written several letters, filled out forms, made numerous visits, phone calls, emails... Etc.
He told me that UPS said that the item was damaged when I shipped it - this is not true, as the stereo was in it's unopened original packaging. He eventually stated that UPS was willing to pay $125 of the $300 claim and that he would give me an additional $25 for all my trouble. I don't understand this at all. This was in April of and I have received nothing.
Mr. Shah won't let me see any documentation or correspondance from UPS - and he is in possession of the stereo, and has been since January.
It is going on a year and I am exhausted and angered by this whole event. I don't understand why they won't pay a claim on an insured item and why he won't let me see the documentation. I am at a loss. Please Help.
