2012 Council of Better Business Bureaus, Inc. Duct cleaning, repair chimney on the roof by installing copper cover on the top of two chimneys and cover and secure all the opening between the chimney and the cap by installing a very strong and tight metal mesh to prevent entrance on debris or insects.

Last August when coming home I realised that a squirrel had entered through the chimney in the family room and had chewed on the wood windows and brand new wood blind in order to get out.

I Called the above company to report the incident and to find out how this could have happened if the actually had performed the job that they were hired for. They had charged me over $2,500.00. I asked them to call me and send their agent to meet with me first, to take photos of the chimney before interfering with any evidence and then report to me so we can see what needs to be done.

However, the company did not call me but without my knowledge they had come, trespassed the property with no permeation, had climbed the roof and had stayed there over an hour while their truck had been parked in front of a neighbor's house (not in my drive way or in front of my house.
I am copying my 2 complaint I wrote to the co. One, after the incident

And another one as a protest ; the agent did not show up or call to investigate my complaint in the first note to the co. - but we were informed through an eye - witness report of a secret coming to our property and the roof.

I have informed the co. Of the estimate for the replacement of the windows and the wood blinds. The co. Has denied any responsibility for its failure to perform the job they had hired to do in the first place, and then their ilegal action of coming and interfering with our property without our knowledge. Thank you.

Note one)

Mr. L'Herbier:

You had came to our house, and without our consent or knowledge had
gone to our roof and interfered with our property (destroying evidence
of your failed job???).

It is true that when I contacted you first, asked for different
services. We discussed duct cleaning, consulted with you about smoke
problem and a possible fan.

However, very clearly you were hired among other things to provide
copper caps for our chimney, a metal mesh with very strong small
openings to cover entrance of even the smallest debris into the
chimney and eventually the house.

(note two)

Kevin:

Last week I informed you about the damages in my house resulting from
a faulty job was done by your company.

When I called you and asked you to come and attend to the situation,
after trying to dismiss the problem, you promised to come for an
examination of the work you had done here last year which was:

Service the chimney
clean the chimney
installed copper cap
install a metal mesh on all the openings, tight enough to prevent
rodents, debris from getting into the chimney and into the house
securing the flue, etc

Animal control agents who came after damage to our home examined the
flue and stated that, the flue was faulty and in a close position
would not close property and they had to manually and temporarily
secure and close it. Also, the metal mesh either was not there or not
proper for the purpose.

When you arrived knowing that you had come to go to the roof and
examine the chimney you stated that you did not have a ladder with
you!
I asked you to come back with a ladder, camera and what ever you need
and call me "in advance" so I could watch with you.

You did not call me! And it was reported to me that last Thursday
your truck had stopped by our house and your agent had spent about an
hour on our roof!

I cannot understand your motive for your actions.

In any case I will have proper contractors to estimate the
repair/replacement of the damaged property and will send such with my
demand letter to your company. Thank you.

Your company had acted in an unprofessional and illegal maner by:

-Not doing an excellent job as promised in return for over $2,00000 in
the first place.
-Trying cover up malpractice.
-illegal entrance to the property.
-illegal interference with the property with a purpose to cover up,
deceit and cheat!

Again we are demanding that your companies acknowledge and compensate for:

1. Failure to provide professional service in the first place.
2. Unauthorized entrance to the property, climbing our roof and
interfering with the evidence of your failure to perform in the first
place.
3. Refusing to compensate for your malpractice. Thank you.
