Complaint / Review
United Artist (Regal entertainment group)
Lack of action

The Regal theater is supposed to have its doors open to the public at 10:30. A.M. There were a bunch of us, at the theater, to see certain movies that started at 11:00 A.M. (I was lucky that the movie my group wanted to see, started at 11:10 A.M.) The weather was pretty cold, and we were all in complete shock, to find ourselves standing outside in the cold, until 10:55 (and that is being generous). The staff was inside, walking around, laughing, talking, drinking coffee, with little regard to the time, nor to the people standing outside in the cold (most of them with children, as it is President's Day, and there is no school today). Once they decided to open the doors to the establishment, the line had grown considerably long, and there was only ONE person selling movie tickets, and she had no sense of who was next in line, letting people who were off to the side jump in front of us who had been waiting for over thirty mins by now, to spend OUR money in this ESTABLISHMENT, and they had little to no regard of the fact that by now, they were making us late to our prospective movies (all which started ON TIME). This young woman had to make several phone calls, to help these people who jumped the line with problems, having no thought to the fact of the schedule that is up over her head about the showing times of each movie and the fact that we were missing either the trailers for upcoming movies, or the start of our movies. We had no time to buy snacks. There were plenty of people who were cold, agitated, and very upset by the lack responsibility of the manager, and when we did speak to him, he hunched his shoulders and said "there is nothing I can do", he feined forgetfulness when asked for a number or person we can file a complaint with, and just walked around as if in a fog, there were plenty of employees standing around, as if lacking in direction. I personally think this young man is NOT qualified in anyway shape or form to be manager, (if he is the manager), and should either be replaced, or asked to become an assistant manager until he is ready to run an establishment, otherwise, Regal theater on Court Street in Brooklyn NY, will find themselves without movie goers coming to their theater to see movies, and then they will close, and we will all be without a theater in our neighborhood. I NEVER file a complaint, but this was so disturbing to me I had to find a venue to vent my anger.
