Talent Clubhouse is a scam. Ms. Joy Boyd-Adams, who goes by Joy Adams, is a con-artist. If you are considering joining the "cast" or "crew" of Talent Clubhouse, or even signing up for the website, DO NOT. You will be relentlessly cheated out of your money.
Talent Clubhouse is supposed to be a non-profit organization that helps children get their feet in the door of the entertainment world. Children ages 2-21 are drawn into the auditions (which were held at the Atlanta-Fulton Library), where they sing or act or model or dance in front of total strangers in an effort to join the Talent Clubhouse cast. If they make it onto the cast (which everyone who auditions does) they go on to meet every week with Ms. Joy to "film" the upcoming TV show "Talent TV for Kids and Teens". This show was due to premiere in March. It is currently August. But that's not where the scam comes in.
In order to remain an active member of Talent Clubhouse, you have to pay $10 a month for a crappy webpage that "millions access every single day."
At least that's what Ms. Joy tells you and your child. Then you have to drive your kids to various locations where the random meetings are held. When my son was in the program, I paid upwards of $500 on gas, taking him all over metro-Atlanta. Then you go to a photoshoot. What Ms. Joy fails to tell you before the day-of is that the photoshoot is at the Mall! And you have to pay for it! So not only do you pay for a webpage that in reality noone sees, you pay for all your child's own pictures, "lessons", and travel expenses.
And last but not least, the show itself. It dosen't exist! Ms. Joy will continue to postpone the premiere date until you stop asking her, all the while TAKING YOUR MONEY. This woman is not trustworthy, nor is she a proper businesswoman.
Please do not be fooled, she has scammed enough innocent children and their parents. Enough is enough. I hope you heed my warning if you or your child are considering being apart of this group. God bless.
