After studying design for 15 years and writing several blogs and magazine articles on corporate ID design. It always surprises me when I see a million dollar company rip off another companies logo.in this case it is a company in Phoenix, AZ named Riviera Broadcast Group ripping off the Logo of another radio company, Emmis Communications. The blatant ripped off logo is not even done with any style. It lacks not only imagination, but the very principles of designing a corporate ID. I would not be surprised if Emmis communications filed suit against Riviera for "Blatant Copyright Infringement". Why this type of infringement still occurs is a mystery to me and many others in the design industry. But to see companies that have multi-million dollar brands RIP OFF other brand identities in the same field is just plain BAD MANAGEMENT.
