I have a ten month old son that everyone says should be in modeling. I didnt take it too seriously until recently. I did my research and looked for the clues for a legitimate modeling agency. GOOD THING! There are pretty much only four REAL modeling agencies in the tri-state area that handle children. They are, product, generation, wilhelmina, and ford. They only require to do one thing, send in 2-3 current snapshots of your child with their age, name, and contact info on the back, and a SASE if they "reject" you, for you to get your pics back. You do not pay a real agency for pics and they do not promise work! Industry is not one of them. I got a call today from them stating I had filled out some card at a mall about my son, yet they didnt know my son's name and couldnt even tell me what mall. I really couldnt remember if i had, so I did make an appointment, with the plan to look them up on here before i waste my 70 cents on the parkway and an 1/8 of a tank of gas going up there. Well, needless to say, I was right. They are a scam. Thanks Nancy for posting about your experience. You saved me an evening in traffic in the 90 degrees weather. BTW most of their testimonials have to do with their "clients" being on episodes of "Law and Order" and the spin-off shows. I am a maniacal fan of those shows, can't say Ive ever seen any of those ppl in any of the episodes. Aside from that, if they were an extra (which doesnt really count, bc half the time they blend into the scenary), you can get an extra part yourself, just by looking in the magazine (name of it slipped my mind) for ppl in showbiz. You don't even have to have an agent for that.
