There was a man name paul beauregard aka dj paul he was a memphis dj mixing up music with his brother ricky dunigan aka lord infamous they sang over beats while mixing up music. They made so many underground mixes then dj paul made freinds with another underground famous dj, jordan houston aka juicy j then juicy went to dj paul's house and liked his tapes. Then he wanted to make music with dj paul. They made so many mixtapes and underground cd's. So then after underground mixing by themselves they made a group called triple six mafia it had many members including dj paul, juicy j, lord infamous, lil gin, skinny pimp, koopsta knicca, carmike, lil glock & s.O. G, lil fly and gangsta blac most members were friends from school or from there block. Project pat is juicy j's brother and was not in the 3-6 mafia until recently when lord infamous and crunchy left. He started off solo making project pat - solo tape 1994. Many rappers left because of the two current members theft of material and greed. Ex members made solo tapes like carmike and lil glock and s.O. G and others. After making triple six mafia underground tapes they changed there name to the three 6 mafia and released "mystic styles" and in one of there songs "live by your rep" was a diss to the bone thugs and harmony for stealing there style (lol). Their second album "live by your rep" was the official kick off for their careers. They lyrically killing and dissing the s*t out of bone thugs and harmony. When skinny pimp came out with his solo cd king of the playaz ball which was good as hell. Then when three 6 released "the end" skinny pimp, lil fly gangsta blac were kicked out. Lil fly was kicked out because he was doing to much cocaine and gangsta blac left cuz playa fly (lil fly) was his cousin and skinny pimp left because they had beef about skinny pimp missing material which dj paul had jacked to sign in future rapper frayser boy. (later skinny pimp revealed their award and recognition is really his because that was his life story made into a movie).
