Ripoff FINE ART TREASURES: Incompetence, misconduct, gross negligence, fraud, misrepresentation or dishonesty in the performance of the functions or duties

Fine Art Treasures is run by the same personnel who ran/owned Hollywood Treasures / Hollywood Shopping Network

7:20 pst on march 4 while [owner] lee jackson* was selling item #1539 rolex "air king" mr. Jackson stated [on direct tv] "folks if you've watched other programs selling rolex - forget it. I started rolex in this whole country. I've sold more in the united states than anyone else. You can find them out there. They have non-swis-non rolex parts. This one doesn't. Buy from somebody you know, buy from quality." *[lee jackson, aka "america's favorite watchman"]

Re: item# 5047 18k president rolex man's watch purchase date 09/27/00

To whom it may concern: (lee jackson)
please be advised that i will be returning the watch purchased above, to wit, (item# 5047 18k president rolex man's watch w/blk opal &diamond dial), unless an

Adjustment is made regarding the following:
1. The bracelet has one missing diamond;
2. There are at least 3 missing links from the bracelet
3. I received no "bill of sale" as to the cost, appraisal, original value, or total wt of diamonds;
4. I received no written notice as to the "one year warranty" as stated at the time of purchase.

it appears that you have substantially misrepresented the item on your tv show and it is not by any means, "all original" and no "original box and papers" have been provided to me as promised.in the event i am not contacted immediately regarding the above-stated issues, i will seek all available relief under the law and via my credit card company.

According to Lee Jackson's ex-partner, in July of owner Lee Jackson sold products through the Hollywood Shopping Network, failed to ship these products, and pocketed the money for himself; it was estimated at close to one million dollars. [the ex-partner announced his resignation upon learning of these misrepresentations.]

Posted 9-24 I won the bid of $649.95 for a lithograph that I thought was an original hand-signed lithograph by Marc Chagall on a TV Art Auction. The appraisal price was expensive, so I thought I was getting an original Chagall lithograph that sell for several thousands of dollars. I got a much inferior reproduction of an original signed lithograph by Chagall. There was great use of the word "original" during the auction. It turns out that the print name is "Original Bouquet", so it's repetition created in my mind that it was an "original". When I received the product, the packing slip was stamped, "No returns or refunds". I was surprised because I watched the auction for about 2 hours and never heard that said. I was then very upset when I opened the packing and saw that it was not the quality I expected. A Gallery woman called and basically said that I was mistaken; the print was titled "Original Bouquet"; that they had clearly said the print was plate-signed, etc. I replied that I did not believe I was mistaken; that they led me to believe it was an original &plate-signed is usually in the artwork, not below it. Resolution Sought Refund of my money.

Posted 12-16 I bought a ring. They said it was this color of diamonds and pearls. It was not what I bought at all. The diamonds were yellow and the pearl came in broken. Their customer service dept was rude and not helpful and not nice. They charged me extra for appraisal that was not even mentioned to me when I bought this ring. They are rip off artists and they should be investigated. They are not selling what they show or say. I talked to them on 12-14 at 9.15am ca.

Posted 1-24 I purchased a Picasso print from Fine Arts Treasures auction televised on Direct TV. They received total payment and shipped product via FED EX. I did not receive the product so a claim was generated. I followed up on claim with Christine Eubanks (customer service at F.A.T.) on January 21st and she stated "that it has been delivered and they have proof of it". I have not received delivery. When I tracked the package it states the package was delivered and signed for by F. Rontdoor. I think this means front door. The package may have been delivered to the wrong place. Fine Arts Treasures still has my money and I have not received the print. They are unwilling to speak with me and I do not know where to go to resolve this issue.

Posted 2-18 consumer alleges ordered a statue which was advertised as being signed by the artist, however received it broken with no signature on it. The consumer has tried to resolve this by contacting your company over the phone but is told that a manager will call but never does.

Agency Toughens Stance Against Consumer Fraud USA TODAY Jul 06,05:00 AM

The FTC's newly combative stance toward crime is personified by its newest chairman, Deborah Platt Majoras, who took over in August. Although the FTC itself can file only civil lawsuits, Majoras has made cooperation with criminal prosecution of fraud a top priority and has been pushing agency attorneys to refer more cases to the Justice Department.

In late the FTC opened a new criminal-liaison office that works closely with the FBI, U.S. Attorneys' offices and Postal Service inspectors. It's paying off.in May, the FTC announced the biggest enforcement sweep in its history — 200 cases of business-opportunity fraud. At the same time, the U.S. Attorney's office in Miami announced 14 related indictments.
