I have a very old nokia with verizon on a pay per minute plan. A while back I attempted to block '3rd party billing' on the phone so nobody could take minutes, but they probably do that anyway now. I don't 'text pay' anyone, so blocking even myself from incurring text charges was no big deal. The source phone number was 951.902.9443. Something strange, the date on the text said it was from "Nov 22 12:14pm". I knew something was up because I don't shop at Target and I never applied to any contest. I'm wondering if they got the number from publisher's clearing house, as I mistakenly entered a contest a while back and the spam to that email was amazing. The phone receiving the text has a number that I have to publish on the web with domain registrar, so it's anybody's guess. I never get calls or texts at that number, so this was unusual. The message was "Your entry last month as WON! Go to TargetContests.com and enter your winning code 74893 to claim your FREE $1000 Target gift card within 24hrs."
