Like most complaints I have read against Slimtone, I was misled by the wording of their advertising. I read the terms and conditions just AFTER pressing the order button, Sunday at 11 pm. I phoned the following morning at 9.15 am to cancel and was told that the order could not be cancelled as it had been shipped already. The girl did not want to give me a return number as per their instructions, asking me to ring back when I receive the product. I insisted on getting that No there and then and ask for all further shipments to be cancelled and my account closed. I contacted my credit card company to stop any further charge. I have also spent a further large amount to return the package recorded delivery and I think all this could have been avoided if they had pulled out the order straight away. On Sunday the advertisement said that it was only until the 11th. The following day, it had been extended to the 12th. I admit it was my fault for not reading the small print but I think the advert is misleading as, if you use the product and cancel properly you are still liable to pay for what you have used. I do not know where to report them as I cannot find where they are based legally. More than my money back, I want nobody to be cought out in the same way.
