I checked my credit cards charges and found an unauthorized charge in the amount of $17.94, dated October 19. Come to find out, it is for a monthly service, a subscription, on medical advise on line from a company called Thin Leader MD, who also have a website with that name.
I never heard of this company and never even visited their website. I do not have the slightest idea how they got my credit card number, because I have not used that credit card recently for any purchases. I am really concerned that they are stealing credit cards numbers and also wonder who is providing them with my account number. The transaction shown in the statement does not even have a transaction number, it just says: www.thinleadermd.com 888-332-6545 nj
I called the listed number and the customer service did not have any details on my purchase. She said she will cancel the subscription and a credit will appear between 2 to 3 business days. If I do not get a credit, I will report them for fraud.
Please check your credit cards charges often, because you may be charged for purchases that were not done and authorized by you.
