Regardless of whether this website is getting information from anonymous submissions or (more likely) stealing or tricking people into giving away the information, the end result is the same:
This website claims to be posting information about potential predators. However, it has no restrictions on posting and it doesn't provide any information that would substantiate these claims. Moreoever, the only way a person can remove their information from this website is to pay them $100. Clearly, this website is not only engaging in slander, it's clearly engaging in blackmail.
I, personally, don't have any financial resources with which I can criminaly prosecute this website. If I did, I would sue the living daylights out of it, just to prove that this kind of criminal behavior is completely unacceptable. However, I will be reporting this website to every comsumer protection agency and law enforcement agency I can find on the Internet. While I doubt that any private lawsuit would stick (because the website clearly states that they have found a legal loophole and are above the law), I'm hoping that the federal government will eventually find a way to crack down on this kind of activity.
If you have technical knowledge about how the Internet works, go ahead and run a trace on this website... Yeah. Who's the real predator here?
