Complaint / Review
Nautical Structures Industires, Inc
Unfair labor practices

The initial owner of this corporation has created an unhealthy working enviornment.initial owner has "laid off" individuals when in fact he has stated that the "laid off" individuals were fired, without growns for termination.

He has gone so far as contacting an employee, while on medical leave, to resign.initial owner has allowed a family member to determine who goes and who stays.

Company has been reduced to nothing more then a sweat shop.initial owner has denied breaks, lunches, vacations or bereavement leaves.

Initial owner has contacted an employee at employee's home, with wife listening, and verbally threatened physical harm to the employee and also physically "attacked" said individual on the production floor while witnesses were present.

Initial owner continues to show questionable aggression toward employees and has stated that "they don't deserve the benefits offered by this company" while he has reduced benefits to almost nothing.

Initial owner feels that no one, other than his imidiate famil deserves a raise.initial owner employes several members of his family. Not an issue really, but these individuals are not present on a regular work shift ever.

Initial owner has no regard for safety. That of is employees or his customer.initial owner requires expidition of products manufactured at a rate that does not ensure product safety. Main product manufactured is Safety of Life at Sea equipment. Therefore, the products coming from the production floor are faulty, unsafe and can endanger the lives of others. I'm sure this is what the penal code calls, malice of forthought.

Initial owner has regarded the female staff, with the exception of his immediate family, as "the girls".initial owner has the female staff doing the jobs of 3-4 people and then chastizes the female staff for having overtime.

Initial owner has denied, what is classified as "non-exempt" salaried employees overtime pay.initial owner has required non-exempt employees to "pad" their time logged to show only 8 hours of work. The only exempt employees in this company are the initial owner and the secondary owner. Secondary owner is unaware of that which is going on in this company and cannot be held accountable. Secondary was unaware that key employees in the company had be "laid off" (terminated).
