Found this transaction on my bank statement&dated 9/28. Pulled the image of the check - $29.95 to Alliance on a check conversion voucher-using my old bank routing # (HSBC bought by First Niagara), the "check" was dated 8/31/12; has "deposit only" on the back to account # 1211973878&as endorsement. I had to immediately close that account, and the bank is doing a fraud investigation now.
What a scam. I wonder how many $29.95's are out there going paid and unreported...
