These guys will tell you anything to get you in the drivers seat once you are there. You are screwed. They promise you 50% or the delivery charges but what they dont tell you is they get 75% of the total i have been driving HHG for the better part of 15 years and never have been lied to as bad as this company lied to me... To start they tell you in 2 months you will be put in a 2012 freightliner. Lie. To start they put you in a POS that seriously get 5.5 MPG so you spend 1200-2300 a week in just fuel not including your labor, tolls, food etc. All this on a 3700 run my part. Which they didnt tell me that i have to pay the storage charges for the shipments i had on so my part was 2200 and that the shipment were late because the driver turnover is ridiculous there fault but i still had to pay the charges... They promised to get the truck looked at time and time again but there was always some reason i wasnt able to or they booked the shipment to close to stop for an hr or so to even get it diagnosed like i stated i have been driving for the better part of 15 yrs and i have never been in the red with a company more than the first week after that at least i got some sort of a check always owed them 1200 or better i have statement owing them 2000??? I was frustrated... Then when you try to contact a customer and are unable to they say they will contact them for you but they fail to call you back with results to let you know the customer is only going to have so much time to be available but expect you to still be there loading/unloading so therefor puts you at fault for being late or not being able to deliver that day. After 2 months of this with the pay issues and all the lies i called them to tell them that i was turning the truck in. So instead of hearing ok or why or well a conversation that should have been grown up i hear your f#$ck6NG ME. Then they threaten me that if i was across the table he would slap the sh%^t out of me and when he sees me so on and so on so HHG drivers be warned do not drive for this company if you dont want to hear stuff like do you have another book (log book) just so you can make it to load/unload or stuff like dont log your hrs just put you were in the bunk 10 of the 12 hrs of the day while 1 person that was with you loaded 12000 pounds by themselves
