On Wednesday August 19 I went to the Sizzler Restaurant on 831 Manchester Blvd in Inglewood, CA. I like the fresh variety the salad bar offers, the reasonable prices, and the take-out.
To my disgust and horror when I approached the salad bar there were flies on the food. When I approached a server re this nasty occurrence she said well people come in and out. I am not in the food service business but I know the basics of restaurant hygiene and how restaurants keep flies out: All restaurants have restaurant doors where people come in and out.
The workers response showed a lack of knowledge of basic preventive measures and hygiene procedures. I asked the worker to return my money and left.
When I reached home I contacted the Sizzler corporate office in Culver City (310-846-8750). After two calls on two separate days a person named Carrie returned the call.
I voiced my dissatisfaction with the Inglewood Sizzler and the Sizzler at 5801 Sepulveda Blvd.in Culver City, CA 90230 (310-398-3611). I said the women’s restroom at the Culver City location was filthy and when I approached the manager he said "too many people". After going to this particular site for over 15 years I have never been back. Carrie said the Regional Manager over both these sites was Robert Cork he was out of the office and would contact me Monday 8-27 re: the restaurants.
As of this date August 2 this person, Robert Cook/Regional Manager has not contacted me re the filthy, unsafe and unsanitary conditions of two of the restaurants he oversees as a General Manager.
Please assist me re this matter.
