The garbage man failed to pick up our residential garbage can two days ago. They came and picked up the recycle can that was right next to the garbage; however, left the garbage. My wife called waste management that same day and advised them that they had missed our garbage can. The following day the garbage was still not picked up. I called the "customer service" line. The customer service representative was rude and told me three different things. First that I needed to wait until the following business day to call in. I advised him that I had already waited until the next day. Then he advised me that they had until 1200 noon to remove the garbage from residences that they missed. Finally he told me it was 1800 hours on the following business day before they would pick up from the missed residences. He was unwilling to look up my account to see if anyone had been dispatched. He just wanted to get me off the line. Tonite we received a voice mail from WM stating that they had not picked up our garbage because the can (the one they provide) was too heavy and that we would have to remove garbage in order for them to pick it up. Absolutely ridiculous. I moved the can out of our back yard, throught the garage, and too the curb, picking it up twice, by myself just fine. Am I required to now weigh my garbage before I throw it away to make sure it isn't too heavy for the garbage man? The garbage delivery comes once a week so our garbage is full everytime. I still cannot grasp the poor customer service and outright ridiculous excuse! But as I can see from this site Waste Management must pride itself in poor customer service.
