My small company has been getting multiple invoices for $ 495.00 and threatening phone calls from "Jason" at Online America. He insists that we signed up for an "internet mini - portal web site" via a telephone conversation several months prior. This all started about 4 weeks ago from this posting. My company (as I'm sure of any other business) would not do business with just a verbal agreement with a person or business entity over the phone.instead, we would have requested a written contract, read and then signed the terms if we wanted their service. This is not the case with Online America, they try to harass you into believing that you or someone in your compnay gave the verbal approval for the service. This company, Online America, and their service, is a scam. Beware of them. One way to help others (according to Verizon) to avoid these problems is to make sure your business phone numbers are on the "Do Not Call List."
