reclaim department (a total scam)—they will call you and will ask for ur name. They will tell u that ur bank has overcharged and u will be receiving an (random) amt. Like 5248$ from aus. Govt. But u r never going to receive this. After that they will ask you in what mode do u want the money back, a cheque or trnsfr it ur A/c. They have only two of ur details. They have ur add., ur name and ur home no. To which they are calling you. And they will repeat it just to indulge u and then they will ask ur D.O. B and ur bank details and will say that its just a confirmation part frm ur side and we have ur details so we jst need to confirm it but in real they dont have these details. And after that they give u some no. And app. Code. And will tell you to call them and submit ur app. Code and u will get ur money within 4-5 hrs which u will not be receiving it.
And the game begins when u will call them at the given no.
U will talk to their supervisors at the given no. And will confirm ur details and will talk to u
and after that they will tell you to pay around 200$to them at western union money trnsfr
as it was the lawyers fees and 20$ as transaction fees. And once you will them money u will never receive ur money back and the amt. Which they told you.
Thats not it-after that they will call you and tell you that they are calling frm bank and u have paid to some department which was illegal and will tell u to pay 500$ more at some other name. This goes so on.in the end u will receive a call and they will tell u that we are calling frm federal police and will ask you to pay more that 1000$ (rough figure).
So they will scam you till the end.
So if u will receive any such calls just say that i m not interested. And never give them any of ur details to them and in case if u have given ur A/c no. To them immediately cont. With ur bank and close ur A/c. Do whatever but never ever ever pay them money.
So guys spread awareness tell ur friends nd family about this and act smart.
