Let me just start by saying, if you see an ad in the paper that says anything to the extent of "wild and crazy office seeking not so serious people to make serious money" run as fast as you can. Because if you don't, you are going to enter a world of a brain washing, peddling scam.
They don't tell you in either interview that you will be peddling their crappy perfume that they claim is the real stuff—they say you are going to be a manager of an office of distributors making $50k to $70k—they are full of sh*. Considering all of the lies they told until the day I quit, I'm not sure I believe that they are the real deal... I'm sure they aren't... Nothing else about the company is.
You go in for the first interview & they ask you like 3 questions and then say they will call you back if they want you for the second interview... I think everyone gets called back. So then you have a group interview and get told that not everyone will be invited to return for employment. I think they pick the easiest looking targets and let the others go that they don't think they can manipulate.
You have 2 managers - one's a supposed "motivator" (Natalie) and the other is the "administrator" (Kevin).. What I think they are is a couple of actors. I tell you what though, you could go in feeling like shit & that you couldn't do it and they were motivating as hell. They had a million stories of their own and the people that were making even more money than they supposedly were. They were crazy.
It was a week of hell that is burned into my brain. The final straw was, they sent us on power pair up day & there were two groups. We had to be at work at 9am... We didn't get back to the office until midnight— we were out in parking lots in various places trying to peddle their sh*ty perfume. Who wants anyone coming up to them in a parking lot trying to get them to smell something??? Not me... And if you see anyone coming up to you with this crap, run. Go tell someone in the store & get them thrown out.
Apparently this isn't legal; they had us hiding from mall security and such. It was ridiculous. They kept saying it was to get our office. No it was for them to make a buck. It was a horrible experience and I hope others are smart enough to do research on this company before giving up a decent job that you at least knew you were getting paid... Oh yeah.
I worked a whole week and only got paid $30... Whew!!! I can pay a bill with that. So now I'm broke and jobless and trying to find a new job, not the easiest thing to do but something that has to be done. I wish this experience on no one and I hope they get theirs one day. Like the saying goes, what goes around comes around and Natalie & Kevin will get theirs one day because they are going to piss off the wrong person.
