After making a purchase of $32.60 for gas, I checked my bank account several days later and noticed an unauthorized charge for $49.50 that occured 6 mins. After my purchase. I contacted my bank and had them cancel my card. I also filed a dispute with the bank. I ran the purchase as a credit and not a debit thinking I would be safe. The bank investigated and found the charge was made on my card. I then contacted Shell Oil and told them what had happened and they checked into it and said the pump had not malfunctioned and they would not reimburse me. I again contacted my bank and wanted to file a fraud charge but since I had filed a dispute first, I could not file a fraud charge.
