My car was hit by another vehicle the female driver of the other car drove off. Fortunately a bystander took the registration details and gave me her telephone number as a witness. I rang my insurer, NRMA where i have a number of policies including comprhensive car insurance. The NRMA refused to follow through asking me to go to police and get the details of the at fault driver. I did this, then with the required info proceeded to register a claim. NRMA took the details, referred me to a repairer and still want me to pay the $600 access.
