Like others here, a woman by the name of Emily Newson ran an ad on Craigslist (Boston, MA) for a 55" Sony LED television for $350 that was two months old. I should have realized right then and there that it was too good to be true. Regardless, I sent an email of interest and later that day "Emily" replied to me indicating she moved to Vancouver Canada but the TV was still available.in addition to the message, she sent several more pictures of the television.in the end she asked if I was still interested. I replied with where is the television — Boston or Canada? Later that evening she replied it was in Canada and that she spent the afternoon researching a company that would deliver the TV and then collect the money after my approval of the TV (via MyParcelDelivery). Sounding extremely suspicious I did a web search on complaints against MyParcelDelivery and found this website. Very fortunately I hadn't made any arrangements and therefore lost no money. I feel bad for those of you that did and wish there were some way to recoup your loss. They are clearly excellent scammers. I wrote back to "Emily" with a link to this website and told her she and related scammers not only ruin for 'real' sellers, but that she was truly dispicable. As you might imagine, I have not heard from her again. I truly hope others are smart enough to do some investigating before they lose their money. I thank you all for writing your complaints. Had I not come across them I too would have been out of money.
