My husband received a letter claiming he had been identified as the beneficiary of an unclaimed settlement. The letter went on to say that there was a fee involved that could not be paid out of personal funds. He was instructed to call 'john carter' who would authorize payment of this 'settlement'. He was told to keep the settlement a secret until the settlement was awarded. Luckily, we were too sharp for this scam. Beware!!
