On January 15th Rebecca Violette showed up at my son's rental in Danville, CA (Blackhawk community) with a credit report in hand, urgency to sign a lease immediately, and a nice story about her real estate business (she actually had a Intero business card). My son was away so my daughter-in-law signed the lease and accepted her checks. She looked like a normal person, well dressed, etc. No one saw any alarm bells. 4 days later the rent check and deposit check bounced. My son immediately got involved and served her a "3-day pay or quit notice"... Accompanied by the local sheriff. When the sheriff ran her name in his computer there was an outstanding warrant for her in San Jose. Never got the details, however she was booked and arrested. Her father (based in Nevada) bailed her out, we think.
For the next two weeks my son is following the legal process and learns that she was an "Unlawful detainee" for a rental in San Ramon while she signed the lease for my son's rental. My son contacts the owner in San Ramon and learns she did not pay any rent for 4 months. As the legal proceeding is coming to a tipping point, my son alerts Rebecca that he needs to get in his townhouse... He was refinancing. He was shocked to learn that Rebecca removed the doorknob to the master bedroom and replaced it with a key lock... So no one could get in or out of the master bedroom except her. Also, he noticed the doorbell was not working. Come to find out she disabled the doorbell so she could not hear anyone at the door because she could lock herself in the master bedroom. Amazing. The legal process is still going on and gets to the point where she is served and the sheriff posts an eviction notice on the front door.
The my son gets a call from a car repo organization. The net is Rebecca had a very nice BMW that was being repossessed by the dealer in San Jose. My son met the repo guys at the townhouse and they told him this is the 3rd car they have repossessed from her (all very nice cars. Mercedes, BMW, etc). Needless to say the sheriff arrested her again... Something about the car beging stolen. Within 35 days of her being in my son's townhouse she was arrested twice. Once she posted bail (again, we think her father did it) my son ran into her at the townhouse and told him she was leaving his place immediately. That afternoon she was gone. There are two Civil suits filed against her in Walnut Creek Superior Court.
The net is stay away from her. She knows the system extremely well (how to hide a car, how to replace locks, how long she can stay in a place once she is served). Don't be fooled by her "dizzy" attitude. It is a front. Her birthday is February 5th. She just turned 50. The day before she turned 50 my son had her served... I know I sound bitter but I was distraught how this woman maliciouisly tried to take advantage of my son. It was a MAJOR issue for them as they have young children and didn't have the time or money to deal with this.
When she left my son's place she had to get in the cab of the moving van because she didn't have any transportation. It was a pitiful sight.
