Who Knew Books
Consumer Report

I saw an infomercial about these books that were supposed to give you tips and information on how to save money with home remedies on every subject from cleaning to home repair to gardening tips and reusing items etc. I made the call, and gave the required information over the touch tone phone. After I had given my credit card information, In order to receive the free shipping, I had to send these books to someone else as a gift! At the cut price of $22.95 each. When I was asked by the automated system how many gifts I would like to send I entered zero. I was instantly disconnected. I tried numerous times to call back and reach a person. That was not possible. I called my bank and asked to put a stop on the payment because the call was not completed, but they had my debit card info. The bank told me that a visa debit is the only thing they cannot stop. They told me however that there was not an "authorization code" so the charge would not go through. Two weeks later the books arrived in the mail anyway! I have not found any additional charges to my account yet, But I have researched and found that most people ended up being charged Almost $80.00. What those charges were for, I have not been able to find out. And last of all, The books are a crock! There are hundreds of pages of "tips to save money and home remedies" But they are for the most part one or two sentences, and don't tell you any details on how to do these things!
The "free 3 books" you get for ordering are just as evasive. Example, The extreme couponing book tells you to look up coupons online, get them from friends, and a bunch of other lame ideas that any idiot would figure out on thier own!
The health and beauty book has tips like "use toothpaste on a pimple, Rub your elbow on a lemon half with brown sugar to relieve dry skin, and a lot of other things that are totally useless.
I'm not going to carry on forever, But just beware! If I've ever been scammed (and I haven't) This was it!
